The Dothan District is nestled in the Wiregrass region spanning six counties. Within these six counties one can find a variety of opportunities. Families have discovered the great schools that serve our children, the hospitals are well equipped and serve our area well. While there are several urban areas there is also a multitude of glorious country where one can see cotton and peanuts growing, cows and horses grazing and chicken farms producing. Within the bounds of the district the Army base, Fort Rucker, is busy training helicopter pilots and the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine is busy training Doctors of Osteopathic medicine.
The best part about the Dothan district, however, is the friendly and compassionate people that live within its bounds. You will find them at one of the 94 United Methodist churches.
